Steve's Message

As we are all aware by now Lomana has left us to join the likes of Alan Shearer and Bobby Robson at Newcastle United (fairy tales do come true!). On behalf of everyone at the club, including the Chairman, Directors, Office Staff, players, you the supporters and most of all everyone of the coaching staff who have had an input into Lomana progressing in the professional game, we wish him every success on the world stage and hope that he continues his progress and reaches his full potential at Newcastle United FC. We will all miss his dazzling skills and magic moments, but Colchester United must go on and keep improving in every way we can to achieve our long term ambitions. Lomana Tresor Lua Lua has secured his own little place in the history of Colchester United FC and I'm sure will be remembered for a long time to come.

Lets look forward to seeing the next young star come through the youth system, because as we believe here, if you're good enough, you will get your chance in the first team no matter how old you are.

Profile
An extravagantly skilled young man who was born in Zaire and spotted by Colchester playing college football in East London. Typically, he scored with virtually his first touch at senior level, and many are predicting a fine future for a teenager who has been constantly watched by the big clubs. Loves to run at defenders and hit 14 goals last term, many of them spectacular efforts from distance.
